Thank You

Thanks for checking out my blog. This is about me, EJ Kendall and all the food I love to cook. I found most of these recipes just in my day to day searching and also some are family recipes. They are all been tested out by me. So I hope you love them as much as we did in our family.

It's Running season again.

I know I haven't really updated the blog as much as I really should. Life tends to get busy and things like this get forgotten or you just don't seem to make as much time for them as one would hope.

So after taking the winter off from running. Wasn't planned that way but just happened. Its now back to running again. My running season couldn't get more packed. Well I think it could but we don't want to over do it now do we.

So far this month of May I have run 2 races. Both were 5k's. The first was the Chase the Mayor race in Provo. I did OK in this race but not as well as I had hoped. I put the performance down to the first race of the season.

The second race was and still is a favorite of mine. The Beat Beethoven 5k in Pleasant Grove. This race I performed better than expected. I've been having some knee trouble which seems to have fixed its self now. I came second in my age group and got a Personal Record. I finished in 26 minutes even. Beating my previous personal record by 6 whole seconds.

Running. My new hobby

As many of you know I have taken up running. I started running back in the end of May. And I have since completed two 5K races. My first race was the Freedom Run back on July 4th.

I finished the race in 35 minutes and 10 secs. Which I don't think is that bad. My second race came a few weeks later. July 21st. This was the American Fork Steel Days 5K.

I ran this race faster which made me happy. I finished in 33 minutes and 12 secs. Which isn't bad considering for both races I hadn't completed my training program.

I really like to run. It helps clear my mind and keep me fit. I have a goal to finally be able to run a 5K in 25 minutes. But not sure how long that will take me but I think its achievable for me.

I love the training program that I'm using and it has helped me go from not being able to run to being able to run and actually love it. I will post a link to the program at the bottom of this post for anyone who wants to check it out. Oh and best of all its free.

I'm still looking for a running mate so if anyone is interested please let me know.
